Xavier Degryse

Xavier Degryse is a French-American entrepreneur with a background in computer systems and business engineering and a vast experience creating and operating new businesses in a variety of industries, with a special focus on retail technologies. He is the founder and CEO of the M.X. Data Group with offices in New York City and Paris, France. Since its creation in 1988, the group rapidly grew in popularity among high fashion and luxury retailers including LVMH, PPR, PUIG and Li & Fung.

Following and closely monitoring the influence of the internet technologies in the retail world, Xavier developed and launched a powerful retail integration platform, PortalMX, which enabled small and midsize retailers to offer their clientele the functionality and customer experiences that until then were reserved to the giants like Amazon, Walmart or Target.

Prior to founding MXD, Xavier created the Computer Sciences Department of, and worked as a professor at the Ecole Supérieure de Mécanique Industrielle in Lomé (Togo, Africa). While in Lomé, he also led a project sponsored by the French Office of Foreign Affairs, which allowed to modernize the computer system of the Finance Ministry of Togo.

Based on his academic background and extensive experience in the information technology industry, Alain Obadia has invited Xavier to accept an active participation in technical development and organization of Quantum Technologies Laboratories.

Xavier holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Systems and Logic, as well as a BA in Computer and Electronics Business Engineering from the EDHEC and ISEN Schools in Lille, France.

Xavier is a French/American citizen and resides in New York with his two sons.
