Cyberwarfare is Evolving

When NSO group created Pegasus in 2011, they changed cyberwarfare forever. The initial uses of Pegasus led to the Mexican government seizing El Chapo and European investigators to break up terrorist plots. However, Pegasus was also used for more nefarious ploys including spying on journalists and civil rights activists.

Now, it seems the C.I.A. and F.B.I. have both bought versions of Pegasus. Though neither claim to have utilized it, both have justified their decision based on security concerns.

Cyberwarfare is in high demand, with dozens of countries having cyberweapons like Pegasus in their arsenal.
